In addition to visual inspections of your teeth and x-rays to find things that can’t be seen by the naked eye, Cajon Dental uses 3D scans when appropriate to get a complete, three-dimensional, 1:1 scale picture of your teeth. These scans help us diagnose issues as well as customize treatment and prepare for certain procedures like implants or crowns.
How 3D Scans Work
Using an x-ray arm that rotates around your head, 3D scans capture dozens of images that are then combined into a complete 3D model of your mouth. We get a complete, lifesize image of your entire mouth, teeth and jaw, from which we can take precise measurements in preparation for procedures or we can find potential issues before they become big problems, saving you time, money and health.
